    HW: First Draft of Editorial (Approx. 400-450 words)

    Editorial ideas--->

    Demetrius: Pay with credit cards at school!

    Ramsey: Technology & social media.  Do your teachers use technology well (divide by subjects--some are harder than others)? How young is too young for an iPhone? 5th grade is too young!

    Hannah: Is prom worth it?  YES!

    Lilly: Patriarchy at FHS.  Are there unfair advantages to how girls have to dress?  Was the principalship given to a male on purpose? Interview people who interviewed the principals.  Teachers.  Is Freeport sexist? Administrative level. How many females applied for administrative position? Is it strange there are female fewer female administrators?

    Sarah: Teachers shouldn't give too much homework? Limit the number of pieces.

    Arick: Should marijuana be legal? Full legalization and tobacco.

    Asher: Should video games be a sport? When is it okay to replace human limbs with technology? Is it okay if it is a choice and you volunteer?  Transcendence: matrix, uploading a human to a computer? AI?

    Seth: Engineer students should pay less than English majors?

    BrIAn: Can a video game be a work of art? What do people already value in art and how do they overlap with video games?

    Joey:  Should students be offered $ for doing better on tests? Freakanomics (movie).  If you have really bad test scores, you have to pay?  What if you have learning disability...?

    Peter: Should marijuana be legal? Full legalization and tobacco.

    Josh: Should marijuana be legal? Full legalization and tobacco. Or, are some youth sports too intense?  Head injuries that are resulting?

    Nate: Is drinking and driving still a problem for teenagers.  Yes. What do you think opposition say...No because...there are more laws, there is more media, officers are strict, cars can practically drive themselves.  Would this be reduced is parents were more "chill"?  Do parents CREATE sneaky kids.  Is it the parents role to educated the kids? If parents don't educate kids, are we creating the problem.  Strict without education= problem? Is it all about moderation?

    Julia: Should be birth control pills be available to teen girls w/out prescription? Should students get equal space in the yearbook? Yes (if they want it).

    Nichole: Do bystanders have the responsibility to intervene when there is struggle.  Mr. Mellon as a resource.  Can money buy you happiness? Look at lottery winners.

    Hailey: Is dating (as we used to know) a thing of the past?  Could it put young people in danger?  YOU AREN'T DATING THEM! Is it going to lead to the demise of person-to-person communication? Should government limit the size of sugary drink.
